-
We work with up to 10 children at a time – all with comparable music experience and skills (that includes early beginners for the Music Mayhem workshop).
- Children play their own instruments and form a small ad-hoc band with the other kids on the day.
- We teach basics of improvisation and accompaniment – with every participant practising both roles.
- We make up a improvisatory tune by the end of each workshop, to be played together.
- Children learn new and different aspects of music making, which simply wouldn’t be teachable in the normal 1on1 lesson environment.
Unique Setting
Get your child to experience the joys of making music in an unconventional and exciting environment. Our workshops take place on board a double-decker bus, creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that adds an extra layer of fun to your musical journey!
Community of Fellow Musicians
Have your child join a community of fellow music enthusiasts who share their passion. Connect with other young musicians, make new friends, and build lasting relationships with people who love music as much as you do.
Expert Guidance
Receive valuable feedback, tips, and personalized instruction to help your kids improve their skills and become better musicians. Whether your children are new to the instrument or have some years’ experience already, our workshops offer a safe space where they can truly enjoy the music-making process!
Play with Peers
Whether your child is a beginner or advanced learner, our workshops provide opportunities for kids to play with other children their age. This collaborative spirit enhances their learning experience and encourages a sense of teamwork.
Supporting Ukraine: Charity Performance
With over 40% of our students learning with Ukraine-based tutors, Lycaeum is committed to supporting those effected by the ongoing war. To help raise funds which will be used to purchase crucial medical supplies for hospitals in the country, our tutors will be hosting a short musical performance from 14:45-15:00 at this event.
